Unless you can see the USB cord running straight into a power adapter (at which point it becomes a ripe target for accidental repossession), I'd be EXTREMELY wary of plugging my USB device into any unknown source of USB power because of potential malware/PII theft. I think the powerstrip-stations were a great way to handle the problem.
