Have speakers post demos along with presentation slides
After the Summit, I'm finding I have to hunt and peck through various web links and blogs in search of sample code and demos used in the session. It would be easier if all material used in a session were posted together. Some sessions don't even have any material posted. The sessions are so quick, I really only have time to get a general idea of how to do something, or what is possible. I was relying on the course materials to further research the topics.

Offer more ways for traveling family members to participate in social events
For those of us who travel with family, most social events were restricted for guest access. This meant that many attendees who would have participated had to opt out (if they put family first).

Better Wireless Coverage
Seemed that wireless service within the convention center was quirky at times. Worked sometimes and appeared to be down at other times. Probably not much you can do about that, but maybe could be mentioned to the facilities people for next year.

Provide healthy snacks at session breaks.
Many people miss breakfast and attend sessions past their normal meal times. Snacks would help regulate peoples blood sugar and help keep people alert through the afternoon.

Create silence technology signs for the front of all rooms!
Some if us know, but maybe reminders always sitting behind the speaker will actually get people to silence their phones. As a minimum, change slide master to include the reminder.

Allen Kinsel says “I will ask for next years slide master to include something along these lines and ask if signage is possible for next year”

Option to add online avatar pics, twitter names, and/or blog QR codes to attendee badges
I see so many faces at the summit, but can't always immediately associate a face with the person's online persona that may be all we see of them the rest of the year. It'd be nice to have more than just name and company on the badge.

Give attendees the option of donating their backpack or the money it costs to a worthy charity.
At every conference that I attend, I receive a backpack as a part of the registration. I don't need a backpack every year. I'd prefer that the money for this backpack be donated to a charity that outfits kids for school either her in the US or in another country.

Make names bigger on the badges
We often have to stare and squint to see someone's name. It would be great to have at least the first name much bigger on the badges.

Roving Mic for Questions in Sessions
Might be logistically tough, but in sessions where the presenter intends to take questions, have a volunteer with a wireless mic for taking questions. Would avoid the presenter straining to hear and having to remember to say, "the question is..."

Use the First Timer Orientation to give nuts-and-bolts advice.
Give brand new attendees information on how to navigate the conference center, an overview of a "day at the Summit" from keynote through breakouts and on to the after-hours events, what to expect in the vendor exhibition area (including the badge-scan routine), where and when meals and snacks are served, etc.

Keep questions to a minimum
Ask audience members to stop asking "please solve this for me" type questions during the session. We came to hear the presenter.

Live stream a session (or a session each day) beyond the keynotes.
Keynotes are fantastic streamed, but maybe if some of the community sees the content, immediately applicable back home, it will encourage them to fight harder to attend!

Make a cell phone charger check (like a coat check)
It is cool that there were charging stations for our phones, but wouldn't it be even COOLER if there was a cell phone charger check! A dead cell phone does me no good, so I would gladly check it. Also, I don't want to stand/sit by a charger because there is cooler stuff going on (sessions, hands on labs, networking, etc).

PASS walkthrough video of registration and conference center layout for #FirstTimers
Wouldn't it be cool if you took a series of videos and posted them on the PASS site (or YouTube) of how to register, attend and even walk around the conference center? That would have really spelled things out for me. Also, if a picture is worth a thousand words, imagine how much information a well made video could get across.

beginners classes
2 of my 200 level classes cancelled. I was left with classes that were over my head. I would think that there were others out there that we just learning SQL Server who would like some basics. Thanks Steve Jones for his classes, they saved my conference.
